2015 Tree of the year felled by HS2

The beautiful 250+ year old still fruiting Cubbington Pear Tree much loved by the local community was felled by HS2 on 20th October.
It had been voted England Tree of the year in 2015.
It is part of our heritage and landscape.
If you think its just one tree lost, it’s much more than that, it is symbolic of much of what is wrong with this world today and the relentless path of destruction we are on. pear tree in blossom
